Lint & Ink Applicator

Recently I received an e-mail about the Ink Applicator.

Sue mentioned that when she tried to use her Ink Applicator the felts didn't stick to the block like it used to and what could she do to fix it.

This does happen with repeated use - each time you add/remove a felt the tiny claws of the Velcro pull out some of the fibers from the felt pads. After a while you will accumulate enough lint/fibers that the little claws won't hold like they once did.

To correct this problem all you have to do is take a pick and slide it under the fibers and pull outwards away from the tool. Do this in both directions ~ vertically & horizontally as shown....(Sorry it's a bit blurry...trying to take pics w/o hands - LOL!!)

By doing this you will dislodge the fibers so you are able to remove and discard them. This will restore the "sticky" and your felts will once again be held securely in place. You can see the purplish fibers around the edges...I didn't have much as I clean my Applicator every so often to prevent this from happening.

So, don't toss your Ink Applicator just because it's lost is grip....give it a clean!
